ESG Reporting Manager to Tele2

Tele2 has the ambition to lead in sustainability. This challenges them every day and also holds them responsible. In the role as ESG Reporting Manager you will be able to take initiative in something that is crucial to their success. You will work closely with Erik who is Head of Sustainability in all matters related to ESG reporting and ratings. One day will be operative and the other you will stand in front of the board. 

About the team

They are a team of six, headed by the Executive Vice President, Communications & Sustainability. They work in close collaboration with all parts of the organization to ensure they achieve their ambition to lead in sustainability, as well as to provide consistent, efficient and clear external communications. All members of the team are based in Kista, their headquarters.

About the role

In the role as ESG Reporting Manager you are responsible for their sustainability reporting and ESG ratings. You are managing data collection, analysis and communication, in key processes to ensure all of their stakeholders have the correct information about their sustainability performance. This will help Tele2 achieve its ambition to lead in sustainability.

Responsibilities include:

Sustainability reporting: 

• Collection of sustainability data, using Tele2’s reporting systems
• Analysis of the collected data to ensure the quality and reliability of the data
• Communication of the data through the Annual and Sustainability Report
• Project management related to sustainability reporting, e.g. driving improvements of current reporting processes and implementation of new reporting processes
• Managing Tele2’s transition to full compliance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
• Analysis of trends in the reporting area to ensure Tele2 is prepared for changing requirements

ESG ratings: 

• Collection of data for the ESG ratings that Tele2 actively engages with
• Analysis of the collected data to ensure the quality and reliability of the data
• Gap analysis of Tele2’s performance to ensure they improve their rating scores wherever possible
• Project management of projects to improve Tele2’s results

Sustainability operations:

• Answering questions from investors, analysts and other stakeholders regarding their sustainability data
• They are a small team with a big responsibility, so they expect that you are prepared to roll-up your sleeves and dig in where necessary when the Sustainability function faces demand tasks – just like your colleagues will be there to support you when you need it

Desired competence requirements:

• Our hypothesis is that you have worked 3 – 5 years within sustainability audit and assurance, management or sustainability consulting, or have had a corporate role where you have worked with sustainability reporting.
• Alternatively, you have experience from financial audit and assurance, or a corporate role where you have worked with reporting, coupled with a passion for and documented experience of sustainability. We are also gladly challenged with other profiles.
• You probably have a degree within accounting, finance, business, engineering or similar. A focus or specialization on sustainability is advantageous.
• Experience of project management.
• You have the ability to do calculations in Excel and to make professional steering group material in Powerpoint.
• You are fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

• You need to have strong analytical skills and you are a communicative, flexible and structured person
• A high sense of creativity and problem-solving is necessary to thrive in the role
• You will have a lot of contact with colleagues in other departments, and it is therefore important that you are social, responsive and  accommodating

Hi! I’m Erik Wottrich, Head of Sustainability at Tele2. I have a background from management consulting where my greatest interest of course was sustainability projects. I started at Tele2 in 2019 and now I’m in need of reinforcement. I look forward to meeting you later on in the process.
