Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) are key tools for Höganäs in order to make data driven sustainability improvements and reach the company’s ambitious net-zero climate goals. Do you know your way around LCAs and want to make a positive impact on the manufacturing industry? This role with Höganäs’ Group Sustainability team will be an exciting opportunity with interesting tasks and responsibilities and great growth potential.
Höganäs is the world leader in the iron and metal powders market, with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons. Their vision is to “inspire the industry to make more with less”, and together with customers they develop pioneering solutions for the automotive industry, surface and joining technologies and additive manufacturing. Höganäs was founded in 1797 and today have 2,300 employees in 15 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The strong focus on sustainability is also shared by the owners in Lindéngruppen and FAM, and the company has recently had their climate impact reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Höganäs uses LCA to improve manufacturing processes and products, and to convey relevant data about sustainability performance. As LCA Engineer you will join Höganäs’ Group Sustainability team and report to the Manager of Sustainable Products. You will work closely with a senior LCA Specialist another LCA Engineer and stakeholders throughout the organization.
For Höganäs, providing LCAs and product carbon footprint (PCF) internally and to prioritized customers are key strategic objectives. You will work with data gathering, LCA modeling and document the results, drive improvements through insights and assist in further implementation of LCA methodology across Höganäs production sites. You will also support data management for sustainability reporting, respond to customer requests and take the lead on assigned sub-projects.

This position is located at Höganäs headquarters in Höganäs, in the south of Sweden, with close proximity both to the metropolitan Helsingborg and to the beautiful coast and natural landscapes of Kullahalvön and some of Europe’s most picturesque villages. You will have regular international and cross-functional contacts within Höganäs Group, and with external stakeholders. Traveling domestically and internationally may be required (approx. 15-30 days a year).
