Do you want to contribute to a more sustainable IT industry? Now, here’s your chance! Our partner Atea wants your help to investigate sustainability in the IT industry.
Atea is the market leader in IT infrastructure for businesses and public-sector organizations in Europe’s Nordic and Baltic regions. With more than 7,500 employees located in 85 offices across seven countries —Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia — Atea combines a unique breadth of competence in IT infrastructure with a powerful local presence in each market that they serve.
About the project
Every year, the initiative Atea Sustainability Focus (ASF) issues a report on which sustainability aspect is most urgent for the global IT industry to address according to the Nordic IT buyers, along with recommendations on how to address it. So far, the initiative has issued six reports, so the focus of the coming report will be on impact and how to reinforce and implement the recommendations already provided to the industry.
Through desk research and interviews you will produce an analysis that will be included in the report and used by the initiative’s Advisory Board to provide recommendations to the IT industry. The analysis will look back at selected previous recommendations to identify drivers and obstacles for implementation, a review of external factors, such as the legislative landscape, and a more overarching look of the main factors for change the previous reports have identified.
As there will be two students doing the analysis, you can divide the work tasks between yourselves based on competence and interest. You will plan your work together with our partner’s Project Manager Sustainability, and work closely together with the other student.
