About Trifilon

Plastic has become a dirty word. But if you know anything about materials (which we guess you do as you read this advert) you understand the amazing things plastics do for society.

In the fast pace of product development and innovation, manufacturers need tested, high-quality materials that will perform in their applications while achieving immediate, concrete, and measurable sustainability goals.

This is where Trifilon comes in – they aim to create the next generations of high-performance composites based on natural fibres – and that is why they need you! They are expanding with a material testing lab, that will be fully operational including chemical analysis and SEM by summer 2022. Parts of the equipment for mechanical tests and thermal analyses are already available together with a complete material prototype manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Have you ever dreamt of testing different material combinations that will create a more sustainable tomorrow? Perfect – that is what this job is all about! You will put together different material recipes, create material samples and evaluate different material combinations’ qualities.

Requirements

• Are an engineer student within material, plastic, polymer, mechanical strength, fiber, chemistry or physics or alike
• Have studied approximately ~2 years or more
• Have good knowledge in English, written and spoken
• It is meriting if you have good skills in Swedish, written and spoken
• Are used to the tools in MS Office
• As a person, you are great at co operating, is detail oriented and driven and love to share knowledge with others

Additional information

• Location: Nyköping. Trifilon will assist you with travel cost (train travels from Stockholm/Linköping or similar) and accomodation. You can also study from Trifilon’s office. We want to make it smooth and easy for you to work in and travel to Nyköping.
• Omfattning: 2 days per week, might be possible to work during summer
• Start: During February 2022
