Your role and responsibilities

The future of Hoist Finance is customer-centered and sustainability-driven. In 2019 they developed a new sustainability strategy through an inclusive bottom-up process, and your role is all about making it come alive to be a part of the company DNA. Your responsibility is to

  • Structure it: Ensure systematic processes and a continuous collection of data on sustainability KPI:s and metrics across markets, to enable progress reporting and data visualization for employees and customers.
  • Report it: Ensure group compliance with sustainability legislation globally, including GRI, Swedish legislation (ÅRL), EU Directives on non- financial reporting and be responsible for annual reporting to Global Compact and NASDAQ’s ESG database. This includes advising local countries with their sustainability reporting.
  • Support it: Advise, guide and share best practice on sustainability processes and initiatives across the organization, with local sustainability ambassadors and business managers. This involves coordination and support to sustainability ambassadors through weekly meetings and bi-annual internal conferences.
  • Develop it: Monitor and stay up to date on industry development, especially external reporting and future requirements in order for Hoist Finance to remain an industry sustainability leader.

In this role you will be part of the Retail Banking and Business Development division and drive the development of the customer journey and financial inclusion. You will partner up with – and report to – the Head of Sustainability. Other important relations are the local ambassadors across Europe, and the business analytics team.

Do you have what it takes?

You are a person that fully embraces the device “what gets measured gets done”. But you also believe that any successful collection of sustainability data happens only if people are engaged and actively involved. To be successful and thrive in this role we also believe that you:

  • Have an excellent understanding of sustainability/sustainable development from both a systems’ and business point of view. Experiences within the financial services industry are meritable.
  • Have about 2 years of experience in collecting and structuring sustainability data or hands-on experience from working with sustainability reporting according to some of the standards mentioned above.
  • Have a relevant academic background from studies such as sustainable development, sustainability management, business or law.
  • Are a proven self-starter that proactively identifies challenges and areas of improvements – and act.
  • Enjoy establishing and maintaining strong relationships and networks at all levels of the organization.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a way that promotes understanding and participation both internally and externally.
  • Have full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge in French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish or Dutch is meritable. Swedish is not a requirement.
