Role and responsibilities

Today Bonava is strengthening the organisation to meet increasing expectations to measure, report and improve sustainability impact. In the role as Group Head of Sustainability Control and Reporting, you will be a key driver to integrate ESG strategy and reporting routines in accordance with relevant frameworks and standards. You will work across the international organisation and your tasks will be varied.

Your focus will be to manage the development of Bonava’s sustainability reporting, implementing tools to achieve the science-based climate targets and secure the alignment with the EU taxonomy for sustainable financing. You will also work towards data-driven sustainability improvements by further developing the sustainability reporting processes and tools, internal training and support, as well as monitoring of new global and regional standards to ensure timely and credible data to stakeholders. You will have to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in all countries of operation and you will work closely with and report directly to Bonava’s SVP Brand and Culture, with the strategic sustainability responsibility in the Executive Management Group.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and credible sustainability data to stakeholders for internal and external reporting and decision making
  • Align reporting with global reporting frameworks and standards and monitor development of new legal requirements
  • Develop processes, tools, guidelines, and training to support seamless reporting in the business units and group functions
  • Support maintaining and further developing of ESG and climate reporting, in close cooperation with representatives for teams at Group level and in the business units
  • Head the Bonava Sustainable Financing committee, developing new frameworks and methodologies to together with Bonava Treasury support access to external funding over time
  • Set up the processes needed to enable reporting according to the EU taxonomy over the next few years
  • Develop and lead a small team for ESG control and analysis

Required qualifications:

  • An academic degree within ESG, finance, accounting, law or other relevant field with strong sustainability orientation.
  • Several years of relevant work experience, for example within sustainability consulting, accounting, management advisory, finance or property holding.
  • Operative experience from sustainability reporting and implementation of reporting frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of the green-house gas (GHG) protocol and climate accounting methodologies in general.
  • Professional level English in speech and writing.

Merits:

  • Experience in climate reporting to CDP, according to the TCFD and SBTi frameworks. If not, you will be expected to deep dive and learn as these methodologies are of high relevance to Bonava.
  • Experience in the use of GRI Standards, UN Global Compact, Agenda 2030 and the EU taxonomy for sustainable financing in general is highly meriting.
  • Construction industry specific competences such as LCA for global warming potential for buildings and environmental product declarations.
  • Up-to-date insight in the fields of ESG, including trends, technologies, consultants and systems that can help to support sustainability reporting and controlling.
  • Skills and experience within database management and IT-development, as a specialist or purchaser involved in implementation.
  • Professional Swedish and skills in German or any Baltic language is meriting.

Terms in short

Location: Bonava’s main office, Lindhagensgatan 72, Stockholm. Remote-work 2-3 days/week is possible.
Start: From September 2022, as soon as possible after any notice period.
