Do you want to develop your skills as a workshop facilitator?

This autumn we are running the third edition of ASAP’s sustainability leadership training for students! With our lead partner LRF – Federation of Swedish Farmers we have a thematic focus this year: food, farms and forests. Join our team of workshop hosts to create inspiring and constructive dialogues between students and a local farmer!

About ASAP

ASAP – A Sustainability Acceleration Project – is a joint effort to inspire and empower students to become sustainability leaders, by giving them an opportunity to practice their skills and abilities as change makers. ASAP was founded by Sustainergies and Ecolabelling Sweden in 2018 and is powered by partner companies that contribute with key competencies and insights from their industries. This year, the mission stays the same but the design will be a little different – mostly digital and with a thematic focus: food, farms and forests with LRF as our lead partners. Check out the website and blog or join us on Facebook and Instagram if you want to know more!

Your responsibility

As a complement to digital meetups we will organize local workshops in different places i Sweden, in October and November. As a local workshop host you will team up with a fellow students to enable honest, inspiring and constructive dialogue between a local farmers and a small group of students from different academic disciplines. You will get a checklist with must-haves, a phone number to a farmer who want to meet students and a supportive contact person from the ASAP team – the rest is up to you! Your responsibility is to:

  • Contact and plan the theme and workshop content together with the farmer
  • Figure out the logistics: where, when, how
  • Promote, invite and select about 30 students and make sure the workshop is full
  • Facilitate a 2-3 hr workshop and set it up for fruitful discussions
  • Conduct a short evaluation with the group
  • Summarize the event (photo/text) and share in ASAPs social media

The farmers are mainly based in Skåne, Östergötland and Västergötland, therefor we are primarily reaching out to students in these areas. Although our goal is to host the workshops in English we need to be flexible, and we might have proficiency in Swedish as criteria for some/all locations. To get the most out of being a workshop host we believe you need to enjoy high levels of social interaction and organizing activities.

What you get!

  • Hands-on experience of project management and workshop facilitation
  • To work close to a fantastic team – sustainability is a team effort!
  • A personalized recommendation and endorsement on LinkedIn
